6  Quick start guide

Follow this procedure:

Connect the power and video cables to the camera.

Connect the video cable from the camera to a display/monitor,‎ and connect the power cable to a power supply. The camera operates on 24 VAC (21–30 VAC; 24 VAC: 215 VA max. with heater)‎ or 24 VDC (21–30 VDC; 24 VDC: 195 W max. with heater)‎. Verify that video output is displayed on the monitor.

As shipped from the factory,‎ the FLIR A3xx pt series camera has an IP address of 192.168.250.116 with a netmask of 255.255.255.0. Configure a computer with another IP address from this network (e.g.,‎ 192.168.250.xxx)‎.

Connect the camera and the computer to the same Ethernet switch (or back to back with an Ethernet crossover cable)‎. In some cases,‎ a straight Ethernet cable can be used because many computers have an auto-detect Ethernet interface.

Open a web browser,‎ enter 192.168.250.116 in the address bar,‎ and press Enter. This displays a login screen.

Log in using the user name admin and the password fliradmin.

Under LAN Settings,‎ you can change the IP communications parameters.
