8  Operation

8.1  Replacing the batteries

If the battery low icon is displayed or if the camera does not power on,‎ you must replace the batteries.

Follow this procedure:

Turn off the camera.

Lift up the battery compartment cover.

Remove the battery pack.

Replace the three standard AAA batteries,‎ ensuring correct polarity.

Put the battery pack into the battery compartment.

Push down and secure the battery compartment cover. The cover makes a click when it locks in place.

8.2  Turning on and turning off the camera

  • To turn on the camera,‎ push the on/off button.
  • To turn off the camera,‎ push and hold the on/off button for more than 2 seconds.

8.2.1  Auto off

The camera automatically turns off after 5 minutes of inactivity. A message is displayed 3 seconds before the camera turns off.

You can cancel the auto off sequence by pushing the on/off button. The camera then goes back to live mode.

8.3  Freezing the image

Follow this procedure:

Aim the camera toward a point of interest.

Pull the trigger to freeze the image.

Pull the trigger again to return to the live image.

8.4  Changing the temperature unit

The camera displays temperatures in or . You change the temperature unit with a switch,‎ located in the battery compartment.

Follow this procedure:

Turn off the camera.

Lift up the battery compartment cover. For more information,‎ see section 8.1 Replacing the batteries.

Remove the battery pack.

Set the temperature unit switch to the desired position:

  • : up (toward the display)‎.
  • : down (away from the display)‎.

Put the battery pack into the battery compartment.

Push down and secure the battery compartment cover. The cover makes a click when it locks in place.
